Candid Wedding Photographs

One of the best part of weddings, beside all the beautiful, touching photographs and those planned and posed ones, are these candid photographs.. where you really see friends being themselves and how much fun they were having! ^.^

Which famous photographer are you?

Which famous photographer are you?

Henri Cartier-Bresson: Known for street photography and photojournalism

"We are passive onlookers in a world that moves perpetually. Our only moment of creation is that 1/125th of a second when the shutter clicks, the signal is given, and motion is stopped..."

revolting behaviour of..

Apparently, this has been going around for quite some time and its on the chinese newspaper as well a couple of days ago..

Heres a brief explanation of wads going on..

A bunch of British tourists, 3 to be exact, mocked the 76 year-old rickshaw driver as he struggles under the weight of all 4 of them. And as if all the mockery itself wasn't enough, they refused to pay the poor elderly the amount they agreed on and in the end rode off in a taxi without paying him a cent.

this video was originally posted by themselves thinking that it would be funny, they took it down when it backfired on them..

The way they treated the old man is really detestable and they definitely deserved to be called shameless.. instead of being ashamed of themselves when the rickshaw driver struggled under the weight of the 3 of them, they didn't even have the decency to pay the old man wad he earned..

one of them acted like he didn't have 10 bucks in his wallet while they fooled him around, letting the old man stretch out his hands and limp after him for the money he well-deserved..

these 3 guys are totally incorrigibly shameless, seriously lacking in moral values and manners. its sad to see how some people are not able to show alittle of compassion for others..

well they've gotten wad they wanted - attention, except that they are all disapproving ones.. and hopefully, they've been reading those comments on their video and done some reflection..

The New Seven Wonders - 360 Degree Panorama

Just stumbled upon this site.. it's pretty cool.. ^.^
you can get a 360 degree view of The New 7 Wonders of the World (announced at Lisbon, Portugal on July 7, 2007) and many more others. Quite impressive stuff.. you just click on them and drag in any directions, can even zoom in and out..

These panoramas are taken by internationally known photographers and is also known as VR photography.. one of the downside is some of it takes quite some time to finish loading.. but juz let it load while you do other stuffs and get back to them later.. :P

Personally, i like the Great Wall one, was taken at a great time of the day, when the sun was setting i believe.. and it really shows the vastness of the Great Wall..

check out Petra in Jordan as well.. also called the "rose red city".. get a glimpse of it, but as mentioned, it won't be enough.. you'll want to see the colours and the achitectures carved out of the cliffs yourself.. only a small part of the place was captured but it did show the nice reddish colours of the cliffs.. the place is impossible to capture in a normal still image, you'll have to visit it yourself, but well, the next best would be the 360 degree panorama wouldn't it? :P

I was pretty excited when i notice they also had one of Chateau Versailles, The Hall of Mirrors. But its a pity the paintings on the ceilings aren't quite sharp.. =( thats definitely one of the places that i'd love to visit.. ^.^

go ahead and take a look, haha travel to famous parts of the world thru your computer, visually at least.. http://www.panoramas.dk/7-wonders/index.html

Do you know where you're going to?

A sweet song.. gives a sense of nostalgia and a feeling of loss..

this one is sung by a chinese singer but from what i know, it was 1st sang by Diana Ross as a theme for a film called Mahogany, Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez sang it before as well..

Its a theme from the flim "Mahogany" in 1975! wow.. the song is like 10 yrs older den me.. haha

Do you know where you're going to?
Do you like the things that life is showing you?
Where are you going to?
Do you know?
Do you get what you're hoping for?
When you look behind you there's no open door
What are you hoping for?
Do you know?
Once we were standing still in time
Chasing the fantasies that filled our minds
You knew how I loved you, but my spirit was free
Laughing at the questions that you once asked of me

Do you know where you're going to?
Do you like the things that life is showing you?
Where are you going to?
Do you know?

Now looking back at all we've had
We let so many dreams just slip through our hands
Why must we wait so long before we see
How sad the answers to those questions can be?

Do you know where you're going to?
Do you like the things that life is showing you?
Where are you going to?
Do you know?
Do you get what you're hoping for?
When you look behind you there's no open door
What are you hoping for?
Do you know?

The 1st Picture..

First, just a little intro..
I'm still very much a beginner in photography, juz got my 1st DSLR a couple of months ago.. so far, I've not joined any lessons yet, only been reading materials online and books and experimenting on my own.. So I'd say I'm still very green and very much lacking in skills n knowledge.. hee so I'll always welcome n will be grateful if anyone's willing to give me their comments and tips or just plainly sharing about photography.. =)

Anyway, like many out there, thought I might start a photoblog to keep motivating myself in photography.. hopefully, I'll be able to learn and improve ^.^

Nothing much for a start ^.^ just a picture of Hugo, one of the 2 dogs we have and also, so far, the main subject of my photography.. btw, the stuff i'll be posting for the time being will be those that i've taken in the past few months.. haha :P

this was taken quite some time back, with a sony pns b4 i had the D80.. his a darling rite? =P
