Red-beaked Migrants

Red-beaked Migrants

These migrants from the north bring life to the parks in Kunming every winter. Its really as if the park came to life with thousands of these red-beaked seagulls flying around, making lots of noises and everyone was all excited with their arrival..

Its a really wonderful experience. The one nearest to wildlife experience I've got. ^.^

Reminds me of how little time we have when we travel with tour groups.. They are always rushing you and you never get to enjoy yourself entirely.. regrets...

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, originally uploaded by costie86.

This was taken during a trip to Lijiang, Yunnan of China. The main attraction was actually the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain which we were supposed to be up on.. But unfortunately, due to adverse weather, visitors were not allowed.. Was really disappointed..

But on the bright side, we were brought to this Black Dragon Pond where we get this fantastic view of the pond and pavilion as well as the snow mountain itself! ^.^

Black Dragon Pond is the name of the pond, the mountain at the back is the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, 玉龙雪山. Nice name huh? hee..

This is one of my virgin attempt at land/waterscape. (Taken hand held, haven't got money to get a tripod yet.. Any sponsors?? haha) Anyway, I made a very very very regrettable, big big big, stupid stupid stupid careless mistake during this trip to the China with my family.. Feel like banging myself on the wall... I left my ISO setting at 800 almost throughout the whole trip! argh... Kill me.. Laugh at me.. use the "tsk tsk tsk.." on me.. show me all the noise in my pics.. make my lesson as painful as possible.. go ahead... somebody.. pls.. ha... anyway, wad i concluded is... I really need to practice more.. need to go around play with my camera more.. sobz..
